Data-Driven Collaborative Decision Making in Complex Industrial Systems

Nana Kofi Ampofo Owusu

Research Assistant, Teaching Assistant

I am Nana Kofi Owusu, originally from Ghana, and I am a Research and Teaching Assistant in the Data-Driven Industrial Systems group at Constructor University Bremen. My background combines academic work with practical university experience across several roles at Constructor University. I worked as a Student Assistant, supporting university operations in a hybrid work environment, and later as Research Assistant Data-Driven Industrial Systems Research Group, where I applied tools such as Microsoft Excel and Python in a research-focused setting. I currently also serve as a Strategy Unit Student Assistant, where I contribute in a hybrid role and further strengthen my analytical and organizational skills.

Within the group, I serve as a Teaching Assistant for Production Planning and Control and AI and Data Management for Industrial Solutions. Alongside my teaching and research activities, I am writing my bachelor thesis, “Evaluating Feature Engineering and Prediction Horizons for Predictive Maintenance Using Machine Learning: A Comparative Evaluation of Machine Learning Models and Interpretability Trade-offs.” Through these experiences, I am developing a strong profile at the intersection of data-driven analytics, predictive maintenance, and decision support for industrial systems.
