Precious is a research associate in data-driven resilience modeling for critical infrastructure. With an MSc in Civil Engineering and over a decade of experience spanning industry and academia, she now focuses on applying causal AI and synthetic control methods to quantify the operational and economic impacts of disruptions in port-logistics systems, using South Africa's Durban Port as a primary case study. Her research develops interpretable, causal frameworks that transform infrastructure data into actionable insights for investment and policy, bridging the gap between physical engineering systems and advanced data science within the Data-Driven Industrial Systems Research Group.
